February – Heart Awareness Month
The National Supreme Council & National Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star aims to raise awareness about heart disease, the leading cause of death worldwide, with stroke following closely in second place. Even when these conditions do not lead to fatalities, they can result in disabilities and significantly impact one's quality of life. Our vision is to create a world that is free from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. We are committed to educating communities about the importance of heart health, promoting lifestyle changes that reduce risk factors, and supporting research that seeks innovative treatments and cures. Through community outreach programs, workshops, and health fairs, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to take control of their heart health.
As part of our mission, we advocate for policies that prioritize cardiovascular health and ensure access to quality healthcare for all. By donating to these types of organizations, we strive to amplify our efforts and reach a broader audience. We encourage everyone to participate in heart health initiatives, whether by attending educational events, supporting fundraising campaigns, or simply sharing information about heart disease prevention with family and friends.
Together, we can build a healthier future where heart disease and stroke are no longer the leading threats to our well-being. Let's unite in this mission and make a lasting impact on the health of our communities.
