This message is for every woman — whether you are a member of the Order of the Eastern Star or not. This is for the woman who has been strong for everyone else. The woman who smiles in public but is carrying silent battles in private. The woman who keeps showing up, even when she is tired. The woman who pours into others while quietly praying that someone will remember to pour back into her.
In today’s world, women are carrying so much. We are expected to lead, nurture, work, serve, support, build, forgive, heal, encourage, and still somehow keep ourselves together with a smile, a calendar, a prayer, and maybe a cup of coffee that has been reheated three times. But let this be a reminder: you are not weak because you get tired. You are human. And even in your tired seasons, you are still worthy, still valuable, and still needed.
The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 31:25,
“Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”
That scripture does not say she never had hard days. It does not say she never cried, never questioned, never felt overwhelmed, or never needed rest. It reminds us that strength and honor can still cover a woman even while she is walking through difficult seasons. Sometimes strength does not look loud. Sometimes strength looks like getting up again. Sometimes it looks like praying again. Sometimes it looks like choosing peace instead of proving a point. Sometimes it looks like finally saying, “I need to rest.”
To every woman reading this: you are more than what you do for other people. You are more than your responsibilities, more than your title, more than your mistakes, more than your past, and more than the expectations placed on you. Your worth was never meant to be measured by how much you can carry without breaking.
Maya Angelou once said, “Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.” And that is a word for every woman who has felt overlooked, underestimated, dismissed, or drained. Your light is still there. Life may have tried to cover it, people may have failed to honor it, and circumstances may have challenged it — but what God placed inside of you still matters.
Isaiah 40:31 reminds us,
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.”
So, woman of strength, woman of faith, woman of purpose — be encouraged. Your strength can be renewed. Your joy can return. Your peace can be restored. Your purpose is not expired. The chapter you are in right now is not the end of your story.
You do not have to be perfect to be powerful. You do not have to have everything figured out to be moving in the right direction. You do not have to explain your healing, defend your growth, or apologize for becoming the woman God is shaping you to be.
There is beauty in your resilience. There is wisdom in your experience. There is power in your voice. There is purpose in your presence. And there is still so much ahead of you.
To the woman who is rebuilding — keep going.
To the woman who is grieving — may comfort find you.
To the woman who is starting over — do not be ashamed of new beginnings.
To the woman who is waiting — your season is not forgotten.
To the woman who is leading — lead with grace, but do not forget to care for yourself.
To the woman who feels invisible — you are seen by God.
To the woman who is encouraging everyone else — this encouragement is for you too.
Galatians 6:9 says,
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Do not grow weary of being kind. Do not grow weary of doing what is right. Do not grow weary of believing that better days are ahead. But also remember this: not fainting does not mean never resting. Even eagles land. Even strong women need stillness. Even the ones everyone depends on need a safe place to breathe.
Today, we celebrate women everywhere — mothers, daughters, sisters, aunties, grandmothers, mentors, caregivers, leaders, teachers, servants, dreamers, survivors, builders, and believers. We celebrate women who have made a way out of no way. Women who have prayed through storms. Women who have carried families, ministries, businesses, communities, and dreams. Women who have stood tall even when life tried to bend them low.
May you be reminded today that you are loved, valued, necessary, and enough. May your heart be strengthened. May your spirit be refreshed. May your mind find peace. May your hands be blessed for all they have done. May your future be filled with open doors, divine favor, restored joy, and quiet confidence.
You are not just surviving — you are becoming.
You are not just enduring — you are growing.
You are not just standing — you are rising.
So lift your head, beautiful woman. Straighten your crown, even if it feels a little tilted. You still have purpose. You still have grace. You still have work to do, joy to receive, and blessings to walk into.
Be encouraged. Be uplifted. Be reminded of who you are.
A woman of strength.
A woman of honor.
A woman of purpose.
A woman whose light still shines.
