The National Supreme Council and the National Grand Chapter stand united in extending our most sincere and heartfelt prayers to the beautiful people of Jamaica as they begin the difficult recovery process following the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa.
We recognize the profound challenges facing the island—the damage to homes, infrastructure, and the interruption of daily life. Our thoughts are focused on the safety and recovery of the entire nation.
To Our Sisters, Brothers, and Their Families
To our beloved members whose lives have been directly impacted—those who have experienced displacement, loss, or whose families are currently facing uncertainty—please know that you are not alone. We are holding you close in our hearts and prayers.
We understand the anxiety of connecting with family and the immense task of rebuilding. We pray for:
- Protection for those who are still in danger or awaiting rescue.
- Strength for first responders and relief workers.
- Resilience for all who have lost homes and property.
- Comfort for all who face uncertainty in the days ahead.
Prayer for Jamaica and All Affected
We offer this prayer, invoking the higher power for comfort, guidance, and swift restoration:
O Almighty Father, fountain of all wisdom and power, we humbly come before you today with hearts heavy for our Sisters and Brothers in Jamaica, and all those touched by the wrath of Hurricane Melissa.
We pray that You extend Your protective hand over the vulnerable and grant immediate relief to those who suffer. Strengthen the hands of all relief workers, that they may work safely and effectively to restore hope and comfort.
Bless our members and their families with courage, resilience, and the unwavering faith to navigate the challenges of recovery. May our collective commitment to Charity and Loving Kindness manifest in tangible aid and support for all who seek it.
As the Star of Bethlehem guided the faithful, let Your light shine brightly upon the path toward restoration, bringing peace and harmony back to the land and the lives of its people. Amen.
TOGETHER we serve! TOGETHER we pray!
