Honoring Survivors. Remembering Loved Ones. Supporting Families. Inspiring Hope.
Throughout November, the National Supreme Council (NSC) proudly joins communities across the nation in raising awareness about pancreatic cancer, honoring those who have faced this disease, and standing in solidarity with the families and caregivers whose lives have been forever touched by it.
Within our NSC family, we believe that brotherhood and sisterhood extend far beyond our meetings, ceremonies, and gatherings. True fellowship is demonstrated through the love, compassion, and support we extend to one another, especially during life's most difficult moments.
💜 BECAUSE NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO FACE CANCER ALONE.
Pancreatic cancer is a serious disease that is often difficult to detect in its early stages. Symptoms can be vague, making education, awareness, and timely medical evaluation especially important.
This month, we encourage our NSC Brothers and Sisters to take four meaningful steps:
💜 01 | LEARN THE SIGNS
Be aware of possible warning signs, including unexplained weight loss, persistent abdominal or back pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), and changes in appetite or digestion. These symptoms can have many causes, but persistent or concerning changes should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
💜 02 | ENCOURAGE EARLY DETECTION
Know your family medical history and discuss any concerns or potential risk factors with your healthcare provider. While routine screening is not recommended for everyone, individuals at increased risk may benefit from specialized evaluation and surveillance.
💜 03 | SUPPORT PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS
Sometimes the most meaningful gift we can offer is simply being present. A phone call, a warm meal, transportation to an appointment, a helping hand, or a few encouraging words can bring comfort to someone navigating a difficult journey.
💜 04 | PROMOTE RESEARCH AND HOPE
Support awareness initiatives, share reliable educational resources, and encourage efforts to advance pancreatic cancer research, treatment, and patient care.
TO OUR NSC FAMILY MEMBERS WHO HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY PANCREATIC CANCER:
To those currently fighting this disease, we stand beside you with love, encouragement, and unwavering support.
To our survivors, we honor your courage, resilience, and strength.
To our caregivers, we recognize the sacrifices you make, the countless hours you give, and the unconditional love that carries families through difficult days.
And to those who have lost someone dear to their hearts, we remember with you. Their love, their laughter, their contributions, and the memories they created will forever remain part of the lives they touched.
💜 A SPECIAL CHALLENGE TO OUR NSC FAMILY
This November, let us turn awareness into action.
Reach out to someone who may be facing a health challenge. Check on a caregiver. Share information that could help someone recognize concerning symptoms. Most importantly, remind someone that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.
We may not always have the answers, and we may not be able to change every circumstance, but we can always choose to show up for one another.
Because when one member of our NSC family is hurting, we all have an opportunity to extend a hand, offer comfort, and demonstrate what true fellowship means.
💜 TOGETHER, WE RAISE AWARENESS. TOGETHER, WE OFFER SUPPORT. TOGETHER, WE HOLD ON TO HOPE.
With Love, Unity & Compassion,
Your National Supreme Council Family
